Data Systems Coordinator
Edwin was born and raised in San Marcos, CA, in San Diego County. In his spare time, he enjoys playing guitar, drawing, practicing jiu-jitsu, learning new hobbies, and meeting new people from all walks of life. Edwin is a first-generation college graduate, earning his bachelor of science in computer science from Humboldt State University and minoring in applied mathematics with honors.
A lifelong learner, Edwin took time to cultivate growth and awareness while at Humboldt. Tutoring allowed him to learn about being patient with others and understanding how other people see the world. Also through his work at Humboldt, Edwin worked for a middle school where he started a coding club for ages 11–13, which led to the school winning a grant to purchase more technology for students. More recently, through the National Science Foundation, Edwin participated in research on Linux malware at Florida International University.
