Hi! I am Ms. Ivan Alis Williams, owner and operator of Bonsai Baby! I have been providing care for young children since I was 17 years old, I had my first child at the age of 19, and have been on a journey to become an outstanding mother and caregiver ever since. I have always sought out community, resources, and early childhood education training and professional development to equip me with the knowledge and skills to succeed as a business owner and quality caregiver.

What began as a personal journey has blossomed into this incredible child care program supported by my community. I am a Family Child Care Professional on purpose. I go to sleep and wake up every day thinking about how to improve the quality of care I provide for the families who trust me with the care of their children.

In my free time I love spending time with my children at the park, touring a museum, earning my black belt, watching movies in the theater, making new friends at a community event, or just vibing at home. But if I could, I would live in a library. I will read everything! A magazine, a comic book, the nutrition facts on a bag of hot cheetos!

Bonsai Baby

Bonsai Baby is always being cultivated by me, Ms. Ivan. We use a play-based curriculum for our general program covering subjects with age-appropriate lessons in science, math, art, travel, and technology. We also provide individualized lesson plans for each student as we honor their unique experience as they develop and grow. We highlight wellness and nutrition by intentionally creating healthy home cooked meals and using our outdoor space to encourage movement and exercise for both the body, mind, and spirit. We even have a garden in which we grow some ingredients!

We believe that when we explore taking care of ourselves, our land, and community, we create more connected, compassionate, and confident children.
