Mary Tran

Senior Director of Portfolio Analytics

Mary has 15+ years of work experience, of which 12 are in investment management and health care.

Prior to joining Mission Driven Finance, Mary was a business consultant and vice president of data strategy and operations at ALCAR and Cuantafy, respectively, where she provided data intelligence/analytics services to health care organizations. Prior to working in health care, most of Mary’s career was in investment management. She held various senior positions at VinaCapital, an investment management firm in Vietnam with $3+ billion AUM; she was the company’s deputy managing director of product development, deputy managing director of private equity for the Vietnam Opportunity Fund, and director of strategy and operations for the executive office.

Prior to VinaCapital, Mary was an investment officer at Vietnam Investments Group (VIG), a private equity firm in Vietnam with $400+ million AUM. While at VIG, she spearheaded investment opportunity origination, investment analyses and due diligence, fund/portfolio management, investor relations, and fundraising activities.

Before relocating to Vietnam, Mary was an investment associate at Industrial Growth Partners (IGP), a private equity firm with $3+ billion AUM, where she was the lead associate in executing all phases of LBO investments. Prior to IGP, Mary was an investment banking analyst at Jefferies & Company, where she provided debt/equity financing and M&A advisory services to middle-market companies.

Mary has a BS in business and BA in anthropology from the University of California, Berkeley.
