VP of Capital Initiatives

Stephen has over 13 years of capital markets, structured finance, and impact investing experience and a passion for helping grassroots community leaders connect to capital.

Prior to Mission Driven Finance, Stephen worked at Next Street where he helped mobilize over $4.5 billion in capital to entrepreneurs owned by women and/or people of color. While at Next Street, Stephen helped oversee the launch of a responsible capital marketplace, structure innovative financing vehicles with mission-driven lenders, and design ecosystem programs that delivered financing and technical assistance to small businesses through culturally competent community leaders.

Prior to Next Street, Stephen worked at UBS in the Investment Banking division. While at UBS, Stephen also collaborated with the firms’ Wealth Management division to improve the availability of impact investments to UBS’ network of retail clients and helped develop a framework to verify that private fund managers met UBS’ criteria to be considered an impact investment.
