All Across Africa

Project Description

All Across Africa needed to invest in expansion to support growing sales demand. Mission Driven Finance led a $600,000 financing round with other investors to provide impact funding.

What they do

All Across Africa is a home goods wholesaler based in National City, CA. All Across Africa trains and employs over 3,500 artisans, primarily women, in five African countries. A certified B-Corp and Fair Trade Federation member, they seek to fight poverty in Africa by providing a continuous flow of income and employment opportunity.

All Across Africa works closely with artisans and major western retailers such as Costco.

What they stand for

All Across Africa defines success by how the lives of the artisans and their communities improve over time.

Most of All Across Africa’s artisans are women now earning 300% higher wages. Earning a stable income allows them to start savings accounts, get health insurance for their families, and send their children to school.

For every dollar paid to an artisan, a portion is also reinvested communities. This amplifies of the impact of economic success all while maintaining local cultural traditions.

Why we invested

With our impact funding, All Across Africa can improve the lives of artisans and their communities. They can also create more quality jobs in their US headquarters.
