New advisory committee helps CARE expand access to quality licensed child care

As we expand Care Access Real Estate® from residential to commercial properties, we are thrilled to welcome six dynamic leaders committed to expanding access to quality, licensed child care. The committee supports the growth of CARE’s creative real estate investment model by offering strategic guidance, providing market insights, and activating networks to connect with aligned investors and champions.

Jess Brooks serves on the Advisory Council of the Impact First Fund at Social Finance. With nearly 25 years of experience advancing impact investing and community finance, she scaled assets 20-fold at Sunwealth and helped grow assets from $50 million to over $1 billion at BlueHub Capital.

Ashanti Bryant, as senior program officer for the W.K. Kellogg Foundation, supports the efforts to promote thriving children, working families, and equitable communities. He brings decades of experience as a teacher and school principal in child care settings, public and private schools.

Lisa Cooper, founder and CEO of Figure 8 Investment Strategies, is a deep believer in the power of business to influence social change. She is also co-founder of Global Talent, a nonprofit program enabling skilled refugees and immigrants to reclaim professional careers in the U.S.

Alex Ducas brings more than 15 years of experience driving partnerships between business, philanthropy, and civil society to achieve social change. She leads Purpose’s global corporate practice, advising Fortune 500 companies and mission-driven organizations on embedding equity and sustainability into their core operations.

Pierre Joseph is a senior manager on the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston‘s Working Places team, where he leads the Inclusive Economies Initiative. The initiative aims to build partnerships and support distressed post-industrial communities by connecting civic leaders with capital for inclusive local economic development.

Onay Payne‘s career is shaped by her journey as a Jamaican immigrant who rose through the New York public school system to earn degrees from Harvard College and Harvard Business School. Her real estate expertise was honed at firms like Clarion Partners, Lafayette Square, and Manulife Investment Management.
