Building More Affordable Homes

with San Diego Habitat for Humanity

Our Impact

Building a Brighter Future for San Diego Families

Building on the success of the first Homebuilding Investment Fund, Mission Driven Finance and San Diego Habitat for Humanity are partnering on a second fund to provide an impact investment opportunity to accelerate Habitat’s family homebuilding efforts.

We are proud of the 27 homes completed and sold with support from Fund I. Additionally, in total, San Diego Habitat has leveraged a combined $12.5 million through government funds, philanthropy, and affordable mortgages to make it possible for more families to build equity and financial stability through homeownership.

Fund II continues this legacy of enabling accredited investors to support the community with additional housing our region desperately needs.

“As a single mother, the dream of owning a home once felt unattainable, and I’m deeply grateful to San Diego Habitat for Humanity for turning that dream into reality. Affordable homeownership has truly transformed our family’s lives, from enabling me to establish a college fund for my son, to having our own backyard, where we tend to our chickens that brings us so much joy.”
